Ramos House Cafe

About

  • 4.8 ( 6 reviews)

American cafe serving breakfast and lunch all day, 8:30am- 3:00pm. The idea of the Ramos house is simple. Like the old days, it’s owner lives and works at the house. The wines are kept in the cellar, the herbs are grown in the garden and the ice cream is turned out back. Everything is made from scratch and the menu changes often.

The food is always consistently delicious. The seasonal pain perdu is always incredibly tasty and my favorite dish there. The mimosas are yummy and their Bloody Mary's are the best in South County. The atmosphere is garden chic and they always have great music playing. This place is worth several visits to try all their cuisine.

Cozy and cute place. The cinnamon beignets were perfect. Other dishes were flavorful. Love the citrus fruit in the small plate( beets dish). Portion is just right where you don't have to takeleftover home. Service was great too. It's a great place for brunch.

Questions & Answers

Recommend the parking garage diagonal (SE) across the street from the train depot. It is on the other side of the tracks from Ramos House, but it is a very short walk and the parking garage was not expensive.

Not even in the yard !

It is quite pleasing but prix fix only & I am taken aback by the price: $35 which includes a starter & entree. Or, drink & entree. That equates to $20-$25 for the entree & $10-$15 for an appetizer or drink. The portions are fine for most but hard to justify $20/$25 for an egg dish or bowl of stew. This is our once a yr when we're in the area place.

There can be a small wait on the weekends as it gets busy for brunch. I recommend trying the quail eggs and the Aligash Curiuex

Sunday is set price dinners. I would get resevations.

It is first come, first serve. Reservation only for parties of 10 or more.

You would do well to call and inquire about reservations. There food is excellent. I suggest you spend time and look around the area. There is some very nice places. Check the mission out you might enjoy that. There is a lot of history. Have fun and good luck.

You would need to call. They only serve brunch on the weekend. Great place to have a brunch.
